A fun little question that I like to ask fellow gamers is if you had infinite budget and infinite dev time, what would your dream game be? In terms of mechanics, story, setting, RTS or FPS etc etc

I have kissed a girl before guys.

As an example, I've always wanted a modern day, dark noir cop RPG. The idea is -

You take the open world of a Rockstar title, let CD Projekt do the quest design, and you grab Naughty Dog for animation and story.

In terms of gameplay and progression -

Your progression is not only determined by the choices you make in quests etc.
It's determined by a karma system, and how you play too.

If you like to shoot things up, the story would move your towards joining a SWAT unit.

If you liked to stealth your way through things, you would move towards undercover work.

Really good at conversations? Move you to the detective arc.

In between side quests and the main stuff, there would also be little randomized crimes.

I swear to God, I have had a girlfriend before. Stop laughing.

That's a short, brief summary of what I would love to play.

That or superhero battle royal.

What would you guys make/love to play?

Starcraft FPS (and not Ghost...or maybe Ghost, seeing as how they never released it).

Or something based on The Expanse. Or a decent X-Men game for PC that's longer than Ultimate Alliance (UA2 which I have on Wii).

Or a working Mass Effect: Andromeda that linked more directly into the previous trilogy. Played Andromeda for all of 3 hours and it was horrible (took out that Origin subscription for a month, and canned it).

The one Star Citizen is "selling"... but without the money grab permanent alpha crap they been doing now for 10+ years ;)

IE: ^ this, but complete.

It would probably have been mine as well for the longest time. SC + Squadron 42.
It has aspects of all my childhood "wouldn't it be amazing if..." dreams. A little bit of privateer, some BattleCruiser 3000 (or the idea behind it) and some Eve Online, all mixed in with Wing Commander.

Now I just think that I don't have time to really play all of that.

So... the dream game is Star Citizen then?

Well the idea is.

FPS where you fly off to other planets and do missions or simply discover or mine, or just work the market with some Flight/Drive sim baked in.

I mean, just view this playlist and tell me you don't wanna "complete game" with this content.

I WANT this with server meshing and no bugs with above's ships and all

Taxi Wars; like caramageddon (and deathtrack) but with south african taxis. Of course this includes taxi shootouts between rivals and so on.

I mean its impressive, and it would be incredible if it was achieved. But open ended titles like that have never appealed to me. My gaming likes were formed by Prince of Persia Warrior Within, so linear titles are really where I get my enjoyment out of. Beginning, middle and end.

But no doubt it would change everything.

GTA V with endless offline missions(possibly procedurally generated?).

All the above, but with Zombies.

I don't think threre is a good city survival zombie game.
