Do you have a favourite quote - something well-known or perhaps just something you heard once?

Perhaps a quote that's stuck with you for years, one that you live by, or something that forced you to stop and think?

Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt. WS

The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse is one of my favourite books filled with some of my favourite quotes.

Always remember you matter, you're important and you are loved
Asking for help isn't giving up. It's refusing to give up
The greatest illusion is that life should be perfect
If at first you don't succeed, have some cake. I see. Does it work? Every time

"The only certainty in life, is death."

Life is a tragedy to those who feel, and a comedy to those who think.

Cost is the enemy of the poor man. Time is the enemy of the rich man.

If you are not a liberal when you are young, you have no heart, and if you are not a conservative when you are old, you have no brain.

Half the time you think you're thinking, you're actually listening.

Chaos is the birthplace of order. Chaos is not the problem, chaos is the answer. It's the inability to surrender that is the major cultural problem.

People are so alienated from their own soul that when they meet their soul, they think it comes from another star system.

We have to create culture, don't watch TV, don't read magazines... Create your own roadshow. The nexus of space and time where you are now is the most immediate sector of your universe, and if you're worrying about Michael Jackson or Bill Clinton or somebody else, then you are disempowered, you're giving it all away to icons, icons which are maintained by an electronic media so that you want to dress like X or have lips like Y.

"Cogito, ergo sum" by René Descartes that translates to "I think, therefore I am". It is Descartes' first principle, which asserts that the very act of doubting one's own existence proves that one exists as a thinking being.

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche
