Howsit guys.

I built my new i5 4670k over the weekend. I installed a 3rd party cooler and i would just like to compare my CPU temps with anyone else that has the same CPU.

The reason for my question is that i would like to make sure the thermal paste and cooler has been installed correctly.

My Idle temps are between 28-31 degrees and when running a CPU stress test in getting between 43-48 degrees.

thanks

Don't have one but it sounds about right.

I have a i7-4771 with a closed loop water cooler, it idles at around 27-30 and under load peaks at 50-55

Did my tests on my i5 4670K with stock cooler and the new Cooler Master Hyper 212X. I used Prime95 for the stress test and Core Temp to measure the maximums. Here are my results.

i5 4670K + Stock FAN (Core Temp)
Idle: 30 min
Core #0: 26-33 Degrees
Core #1: 25-31 Degrees
Core #2: 23-28 Degrees
Core #3: 22-28 Degrees

i5 4670K + Stock FAN (Prime 95 & Core Temp)
Prime95: 1 hour
Core #0: 86 Degrees
Core #1: 87 Degrees
Core #2: 85 Degrees
Core #3: 81 Degrees

i5 4670K + Cooler Master Hyper 212X (Core Temp)
Idle: 30 min
Core #0: 23-29 Degrees (Max diff: -4)
Core #1: 24-31 Degrees (Max diff: 0)
Core #2: 21-26 Degrees (Max diff: -2)
Core #3: 22-26 Degrees (Max diff: -2)

i5 4670K + Cooler Master Hyper 212X (Prime 95 & Core Temp)
Prime95: 3 hours
Core #0: 66 Degrees (diff: -20)
Core #1: 66 Degrees (diff: -21)
Core #2: 66 Degrees (diff: -19)
Core #3: 60 Degrees (diff: -21)
