Any IT support dude worth his salt will make sure there'll be no unnecessary apps installed by the problems located between the pcs and the chairs of the corporate world.
Office, acrobat reader, a proper browser, updated patches for all. Feckall else unless the pc user's livelihood depended on it.
And you'll always find that the workstations are most of the times way underpowered for the job it's supposed to do, e.g. Celeron with 512MB RAM & onboard graphics that must run Office 2007.
If you have Windows 7 Pro running on a Quad Core workstation with at least 2GB RAM, you'll have a fantastic work pc.
