your opinion on this local site please:

The product hover effects don't work correctly in IE9. Change your HTML doctype from transitional, to (at the least) XHTML 1.1 Strict, or (preferably) HTML5. That alone will force the browsers to render in strict mode, and not try to "fix" what isn't broken.

On the whole, it looks clean, works well, uses jQuery (+1 :)). Take that menu code and stick it in an external file for performance (although just a touch)...

Oh, is the "windowShopping" that way on purpose?

any thoughts on the content/user experience perhaps please?
 
Well, I wouldn't frequent the site myself, but I don't do much online shopping. It was a quick and smooth experience though, and pleasant enough. :)
 
Just check that the "Categories" menu items expand so that the user doesn't have to scroll. You can do that with jQuery to check whether the bottom-most point of the popup box isn't below the current scroll offset of the browser window. Other than that, all seems fine. :)
 
I would suggest removing this: "THIS WEBSITE WAS DESIGNED TO BE VIEWED AT A MINIMUM SCREEN RESOLUTION OF 1024 X 768 ".
For those who don't know why a website would look funny on their small screen, they won't know what screen resolution is anyway, and the ones that do know, will already know that it's because of their resolution.
Plus it just makes the dev look silly.
And finally as far as I can tell it works fine at any size, just has scrollbars.
 
I don't really live the hover popups, get's a bit irritating after a while. Cool idea though...
