Your Opinion Please On These 2 Websites

To be perfectly honest... Neither. Their websites look extremely unprofessional, looks like they just downloaded some stock templates and modified the headers to suite their name. Be carefull when hiring a web design company. make sure you get your moneys worth. Don't pay them to create a unique design if their just going to give you a ripped template.
 
Can you honestly not make a single post without advertising your websites?!

An honest response, if ever I've seen one. I agree, by the way. ;) I'm busy redoing the look, for what it's worth. As always though, customers take first priority, and as they say, a plumber's pipes always leak...

...and here-in lies the problem. That, and roping in honest bystanders. Leave my crap website out of it, shingi. Oh, and if you do insist, do it properly. It's svendigital.co.za, not www.svendigital.co.za. I didn't ever advertise with a www, nor do I intend to.

Ag well, I offer web development, not web design, so I couldn't be fazed. I think in 1s and 0s, not shapes. ;) Thanks for the free publicity, I guess... :erm:
 
WTF Shingi? Why compare your own site with competition's and expect to get "smoothed over" in a public forum? Are you *that* insecure about the bashing your site took in the other thread that you now need to pull others in with you?

Somehow this just seems to confirm (in my mind, at least) the image I had about you and the half-nekkid leddies... Srsly. :erm:

I'm probably being mean here, but I hate it when someone going down drags my friends in with them... Shingi, you should learn to take credit or criticism on your own merit. If you post links to your sites boasting how wonderful the designs are, be prepared to take a peppering from industry specialists if they find your work not to be of highest standard. Don't come afterwards comparing your work to those of a critic, expecting others in a public forum to side with you. Take the criticism at face value and research said comments on the net, you might just find them to be quite valid and constructive.

Honestly, sex only sells to a minute audience. Professional companies seeking professional work to be done for them will quickly shy away from a banner like the one opening on your home page, as well as the one linking from one of your sites back to www.web9.co.za...
 
I don't possess the vocabulary to describe how misguided the use of soft porn in site design is.
 
i'd take the word 'professional' out of the title. it makes people ask the question...
