Your Raspberry Pi Projects

Can someone perhaps help me with some C# code to communicate with an Axpert inverter, over USB / USB-to-Serial, from the Raspberry Pi? I have tried quite a couple of different pieces of code but don't get very far. I will gladly pay, if needed?

You need to approach the site owner and register with them as a dealer.

Otherwise… ;)
after registering… :)

???

You just register as you normally would on any online shopping site. You don't need a dealership.

You do if you want to advertise on MyBB - otherwise it gets treated as spam. ;)

C#? Are you running Win 10 IoT on the Pi?

C#. Monodevelop ;)
Do you have any comms working from the Pi to the Inverter at all? Which resources are you using to get example code? I don't know anything about Monodevelop I'm afraid, how do you access and configure your ttyUSB (or whatever) through it?

I got a sample Python script to test and it works fine. Commands are sent and responses received. There's a USB-to-serial cable, to the port is /dev/ttyUSB0 - address it the same way as you would address a serial port, i.e. /dev/serial0

Do you only want to read the values from the inverter or also control the inverter? Me and Jaco are finish all Axpert converters and Infini for the Raspberry pi with db and cloud service to emoncms end pvout. Have a look at powerforum

Hi all question

I don't own a raspberry pi ,but would it be possible to buy one and put some type of software on it to so that it can be plugged into the tv enabling browsing, netflix ect ect?

and ............. another question.

Do you guys do these projects on a plain, simple Raspberry Pi?

A friend says he'd like to do a bit of programming/exploring but he needs something more than just the Pi. What would he need apart from a monitor, keyboard and mouse?

...........or am I being played :D

Possibly add a USB hard drive ?

The Pi is more than adequate for someone who would "like to do a bit of programming/exploring".
