The Pi 2 has too little RAM. Testing gaming stuff on there isn't gonna tell you anything.Thanks. Ill test it out on my old Pi2 and if its workable then I will look at getting a 4

I've always wanted to build a smart mirror. Only thing is, where can I get a two-way / one-sided mirror or film.
If it's going to cost me more than R300, I'll find another purpose for my pi.
Maybe I'll skip the mirror idea and fit the screen in a frame and display information like Weather, Time, Security camera feed, load shedding slotsI built an intercom system with my Raspberry Pi. Bought a Fanvil SIP intercom, mounted at my gate, and a few cheap Yealink SIP deskphones, distributed around the house, and now I never miss a delivery. Of course, all working through the PABX server running on the Pi.
i thinkthe screen is the hard part, the glass is easy. if you have an old monitor it will be cheapMaybe I'll skip the mirror idea and fit the screen in a frame and display information like Weather, Time, Security camera feed, load shedding slots![]()
So I actually took my old 16" laptop apart and took out the screen only.i thinkthe screen is the hard part, the glass is easy. if you have an old monitor it will be cheap
sounds like you make a youtube video with itSo I actually took my old 16" laptop apart and took out the screen only.
I bought the following items:
LCD controller board (https://www.robotics.org.za/PCB800807),
Step up circut board (set it to convert 5V to 12V),
USB C female.
Boom, display sorted. I just need a picture frame for the screen and find my PI2 (or buy a PI Zero)

Just FYI. Not sure if it will be helpfull. Bit OT.Anyone know which receiver module would work with one of these generic Centurion branded garage remotes?

I want to automate stuff with the inevitable 2 / 3 spare buttons on these.

I know.Any 14” touch screen with HDMI out should work.
Thank you. And a Makro.
HDMI would have been better than USB-C though, but workable I suppose.Thank you. And a Makro.
Here I was scouting RS-Online and all they have is units that require a case or frame.
