your RROD xbox

does anyone have an old RROD box that they aren't using...

...i want to test out a lighting mod with some florescent lights, colourend fans and perspex.

now seeing as this will be my first ever mod, not just xbox but in any form, you can see why i first want to test on a dud.

or where i can buy one from.

i basically just need the box, and most of the insides. however no dvd rom, or external power cables etc

You can pick one up overseas for cheap. Go for ones in UK as they'll have the same region code as us. I got mine from CK3 UK, and they are very good and dispatch goods on the same day although it did take my post office 6 days to deliver the slip to me for me to go fetch it. (Date stamped on the slip was 11-06-10 and the date I received the slip on was 17-06-10 - Probably due to poor staffing in the Green Point area)

EDIT: You'll need a PayPal account with FNB in order to do this - Took a few days for me to get it set up and working and takes 3 to 7 working days to topup your PayPal account

i've got a paypal account (used it a few times for my purchases on dealextreme), but this seems like it could a rather costly affair, seeing as i just want the xbox for mod testing...

...however if all else fails, i guess i will have to give your suggestion a shot, thx stroebs
