I wont spend the credit yet. Need to inspect the items first because if items are damages then they will only refund the difference. If products aren't damaged then I can use the money on something else.

30% of total amount. Not bad tbh. If my package arrives and everything looks good then I will proceed to use the cred on stuff that I most likely dont need lol
 
Very happy with my dreame robot vaccuum accessories that I got for less than R200. It included 6 front brushes, 6 filters ,4 mop pads, 6 bags and 2 mid brush rollers. Everything fits well and the quality is great. The same accessories would have costed R2k plus on takealot20250519_182035.jpg

I don't understand temu.
Somewhere some china is losing money.
I received 2 separate temu orders today 1 delivered by buffalo and one by skynet. My skynet package was damaged so I logged a return. They offered a refund without the return of the product and gave me my 1.4k back. The product is still usable. With a minor tear that can easily be stitched up. It's not a big deal tbo. The holes were cause by the idiot that stapled the box. There were prob no tear before it got shipped.
Anyways... their loss I got a free expensive product.

I got shoes where the loops for the laces snapped the first time pulling :( at least got my money back
 
I Ended up using my credit & Coupon's . I placed one order but it was split in two. Apparently one of the items ships from a local company. Paid R12 total for my order.


Order one was a utility wagon with brakes(similar to jolly trolly but without the extras). Hopefully the quality is ok.

Right so I have two other orders pending with Temu.

Both ordered on the same day 14 May.
Only just got a message from Fastway requiring me to pay R145.25 in import duties and taxes for one of the orders. Seems quite steep. for a order tat was only R375 in total. thats a % off +- 38.7 percent. No doubt someone is trying to recoup shipping costs here.

The other order remains a mystery and I will have to wait and see wat the import tariffs will be.

Turns out Temu Combined 2 of my Orders and shipped them together and this being the reason for what I thought were high import tax and duties. the other order is R325. so if I combine the 2 amounts and calculate the tax import % of the total amount it comes down to 20.75%
 
Ive been ordering from Temu quite a few times in the past few years, and always got delivered on day 6 or day 7 with Buffalo Couriers.

Last few orders over a 3 months period, every order took 14+ days to arrive and all came via Fastway couriers.

I thought I could select Buffalo, but the app doesn't allow one to select a preference.

Anyone else experiencing double the waiting time ?
