Your temu orders

I've got the Liitokala lii-500.

This one is way more fancy:

I was thinking more along these lines

there i
Did you do an EFT or what?
there's an eft option .even thymebank is listed ,thats why i presume they have a local account ,but you cant get nothing concrete on internet on how they operate except its PPD holdings and they are international.

Could be... Could also be they have a deal with a local payment company.
we import electric, pneumatic and hydraulic parts from all over the world and i can allmost guarantee you after 3 shipments customs will hold it back untill you have gone to SARS and gotten clearance and an import number .there must be a local clearing agent that is doing the import on their name and just dropping it to you ,it cannot be just that easy to buck the system .there is however a threshold of R 500 for duties been charged or not .i brought in medical equipment 10 items SARS siezed it for 3 weeks untill i could get a code for the product on my import export permit .

There is no way these parcels are going anywhere near a local customs office or any other government department, not with the shipping times we're getting.

What's surely happening is Temu/Buffalo is declaring to SARS on our behalf and/or in bulk and if there is any bureaucracy coming for us it's going to take a while to catch up. I mean Temu themselves are struggling with volume. It seems unlikely any SARS database is getting ID numbers in anything approaching real time.

okay so I just received my Apexel 10 in 1 lens kit and the 22x telescope attachment makes the whole kit worth it

You're id numbers not going anywhere near SARS ,not quickly anyway .

I've ordered way more than 3 items from aliexpress and ebay and I paid customs directly at the post office.

If you're getting stuff shipped in by part-container-load as a business that's a whole different ballgame.

I wouldn't worry about it. There is no way they will demand that half of SA become registered importers over this crap.

I agree, as one can test 4 batteries at a time and you have a very good charger as well

Also, doing discharge capacity tests is very impractical. It's fine if you're harvesting batteries from laptops and just wanna check them once for sorting but to do it regularly during use is a waste of time.

I just check the charge capacity that's displayed after charging and if that's low then I know something is wrong. Then I will do a discharge test to verify.

Man, Temu is addictive, they throw gadgets at you that you never thought you needed but the price and free shipping.... just so tempting. Haven't caved yet though and just stuck with what I wanted.
