Your temu orders

Can anyone say what one should avoid buying on Temu? I see clothes have a 45% tax on them... but what about pillow covers or kitchen mats etc, I mean that is fabric?
What would you avoid? I am looking at getting some canvas wall prints and maybe some cushion covers and 800 other things

Don't like it then return it.
Temu don't manufacutre the products, the suppliers do.

What's the issue with them? Also been looking at the throws.
Material is really thin and the outline on the leaf pattern has no fibers. It's not terrible but just something I wouldn't like to keep. It's not a print so can't really comment on those.

I would avoid things you will use to prepare food. I would also avoid cosmetics.

This, for reasons of safety.

Everything else is fine.

Just about everything for preparing food comes from china. :/

Yes and No. Some manufacturers follow proper procedures and have certifications to follow health and safety guidelines, if not in SA then for other countries. Some Chinese companies counterfeit goods and may use materials which are hazardous to one's health, as in being toxic.

So if I have Chinese made stuff in the kitchen, it comes from reputable brands. Also have a lot of American (eg Corning) and Japanese stuff in the kitchen as well, mostly from the 80s. Clicks would sell Corning and various Japanese brands back in the day.

Obviously China as in ceramics or porcelain is not toxic, although paint may be and of course the rubber or plastic utensils may be toxic.
