Your temu orders

Anyone ever bought one of these from Temu for your car?
As usual in SA they are like R5,000 at a minimum... Temu they're under R1,000

I paid an extortionate amount for an apple carplay system for my e46. It works really well BUT the internal amplifier and DAC are garbage. No way to get a clear sound signal out of it, so if you're not looking for a great sound experience go for it, but beware that you will probably not have the best sound from it.

Had some phone covers on order to the value of R143. They requested vat & duty to the sum of R270.
Never has it been that high.
Yeah think phone covers get a higher tax :( though that is ridiculous, was it R143 straight or with credit?

Not sure if anyone else saw this but Temu actually offers Payflex as a payment option now.

I use it most of the time now since budget does not always allow for extra stuff. Helps a lot if your order is big then you have some time to pay it off I always choose 3 months just for in case :)

This is a nice development, when they flood you with codes that have to be used in 5 days it’s easy to rack up a good few thousand in orders, using Payflex to spread the pain will be handy

The last few months my orders were delivered by Fastway which was great.

My last 2 orders where delivered by Buffalo again and it takes longer for delivery.

Temu are using SPEEDAF

Not at all speedy. A shipment left Jhb for Cape Town on 7th April. It is shown as "Left Jhb hub". The latest delivery date from Temu is 11th April

First time for me they have missed the delivery deadline

I got some acsendia tracking number and it's past customs but not sure who delivers.

Just be careful for this trick.

I got one of those spinning wheel promotions that popup all the time where you get 100 %off an item but you have to select items from a list and not your cart to reach the minimum total order value.

To reach the minimum order value of R550 I added an item from the list that was already in my cart I didn't pay attention and paid R174 for it. Then after placing the order and paying, when I clicked on the item in my order I noticed the price is actually R87 meaning I got charged exactly double. I thought cool I score as I will get credit and I will just do a price adjustment. I tried doing a price adjustment but it did nothing. Looking closer at the item price it has limited time discount that doesn't work with price adjustment.

Looking at that item the past 3 days I noticed the supplier on a daily basis keeps on putting a 50% limited time discount for a short period (around 24 hours) but this limited time discount only applies if the item is in your cart and not selected from a list.

Just because of the spinning wheel promotion I pay double price for the item and double price in duties of what I would have. In a previous order a similar category item was classified as clothing so I am dreading the duties I have to pay.
Also I have to pay import duties on the free item as SARS taxes free items on the original value.

This shows that Temu's price adjustment policy is BS if suppliers use limited-time discounts to avoid giving you credit when the actual price is lower.

What do you mean by clear sound signal? Sorry I don't know much about audio.

My current cheap no frills Bluetooth radio has this really bad hissing sound whenever the Bluetooth is connected is that the same thing? I'm trying to upgrade and was looking at something like that.
