Your temu orders

what's the best way to pay your tax for your goodies?
I clicked on my buffalo tracking and it says "Customs VAT and duty can be paid now, please pay in time"

I did receive an email with a link to go and pay, but how do I know that is a legit site? why doesn't Buffalo have a link on their tracking page for you to pay your tax

Locals bust for reselling cheap Temu undies as expensive handmade lingerie. Customer says Lingerie Dolls SA abused and blocked her after she claimed her pricey purchase was a Temu markup.

Local company Lingerie Dolls SA has been rumbled for attempting to pass off cheap factory-made sexy underwear products as its own handmade, sewn-from-scratch expensive lingerie.

This happens all the time. There are dozens of these appearing in social media feeds everywhere. It has been a thing for aong time, even before Temu.

Temu kind of made us aware of this

Seems legit, get those all the time when expecting a parcel from temu

They probably could've gotten away with it if they hadn't used the word "own." I'm sure it's handmade in China and not by some robot.

Same with Barestep. Shein imports, and the only Proudly SA thing about that is the label they put on.

I believe most items we buy (clothing or otherwise), is some kind of rebranded OEM import.

Temu used to have Snapscan to pay for the taxes, I see that's been removed.... anyway I paid by credit card. I just hate putting my credit card details in to some random companies page. There is also an option for an InstantEFT but if you click it it asks you for your internet banking username and password <--- that's a strong no!

Different couriers offer different means to pay the tax. I know SpeedAF [still] offers Snapscan.

The instant EFT is one of those dodgy ones I alluded to earlier.

EDIT - just had to do another payment.

ja mine was on Buffalo (which I have used before, albeit 1 year ago and I checked I used Zapper) now all I can use is credit card or instant eft where they actually want my internet banking username and password <-- madness

I make a new virtual card for the transaction and then delete it right after making the payment

Talking about mini vacuums/blowers, I got this one for R231 and not R297.

That little brush-less vacuum/blower is really one of the best, it's sucking and blowing power is impressive. It also has the biggest dust bowel of them all.

If I were younger I would take that monster sucker to bed at night.

I've got the exact same one, it was R170 at the time. Just careful when removing the canister, twisting too hard will break the clip.

Latest order R277 duties R52/18% via Skynet.
The Duties invoice says Service Fee R34 and Vat R18, I have no idea how they work that one out.

Is the 'claimcredit' thing still working?
I searched and found the page but it says "This activity has expired" at the top of the page.

Create a new virtual card to pay, then block and delete the card straight after.
