Your temu orders

Placed an order for some small gadgets for R230.
Just paid R105 customs.

I expected less like R50/60

No clothing as well.

Delivery with Buffalo
They have a fixed handling fee, therefore low-value packages pay relatively much more percentage-wise.

Been buying lots of random crap off temu these last couple of weeks.

Will see what it's like when it actually gets here but last order that arrived was for one of these and a few other random items. Not bad for the price.

What are those USB soldering irons like?
Nice that they come with 3 tips, can they run off of USB when the battery runs out?
I need to do some SMD soldering every so often and that very fine tip looks like it could be just the trick

I will never use one but I am always tempted to buy it just because it’s so cheap.

I’ve bought a few things I’ll never use….

A couple of people here bought one and they say it’s decent.

I received a PD 65W Mini Hot Plate Preheater today, and have in my cart a HS02B soldering iron...the special offers worked in my favour recently and I have effectively paid very little in some of the orders.

Asendia it terribly slow though, still waiting for a electric blower and other spot welding controller and another order. Skynet has delivered since a later order, whilst these are still not on plane and customs have been paid a few days ago too.

Have you used any of the cheapie R150 USB soldering irons?

It does run off USB when the battery is flat, hits temp relatively quickly but temp is only reliable when not plugged in (gets hotter when running off usb).

I find it quite handy for random odd jobs.

Some of them come with multiple tips mine did not but you can buy the tips separately.

This arrived today but not from Temu.

No, I have a Quick T12, which is okay whatever I tinkered with so far - powered by a laptop power supply. I would like to get one of these USB pencil type - the small distance off tip to hand appeals.

I see Temu have some Fluke multimeters - not sure if they are the genuine stuff or clones. Toss up in my next purchase for one of the oscilloscope /multimeter combos or going for a Fluke - I have some credit on hand to cover either one.

These wiper clips arrives today, and after a considerable amount of struggling (I'm not a mechanic, and I don't have all the tools) I managed to put the wiper linkage clip on, and both wipers work now.

This has saved me a lot of money
Good day Stephan,

I have a Hyundai Atos and the wipers where starting to become quite floppy. After removing the wiper linkage unit, I realised that it was just the bushing that connects the wiper motor arm to the linkage system. I have tried to source this particular grommet/bushing but have been unsuccessful. The clips you mentioned may be the answer. Can you please let me know how long they took to arrive in SA? Maybe this bushing will work but I am not sure if they are universal. Thanks. De Wet.

I ordered the bushings as well as clips, but only one clip was needed. I didn't use the bushing at all.

It took about 10 days to arrive, along with some other items.

I don’t have them with every order.

But maybe Temu doesn’t love you as much as other shoppers. You should buy more and play the spinny wheels games. And water your crops.
I guess Temu doesn't love me either. I tried to place an order for collection and there were no collection points, despite Pargo's website listing 8 in-and-around the mall.

So now I'm going to be getting my first taste of GFS Express...

GFS tracking messages make no sense when I get them assigned to my parcel.
My last parcel went in and out of customs three times over three weeks. The last two times customs seems to have been somewhere between Joberg and Cape Town.

I got two 20% off vouchers for querying that parcels status.
