Shipping times for my last two orders are very much an anomaly. My order from Thursday (and Saturday) are still in the picking/gathering items phase. Usually there would be some progress and 48 hours it would already have been packed/shipped from the warehouse.

By two biggest orders too - 5K out of the card. I expected the items to be in the office by Friday. I had an order delivered Wednesday after 5pm (close 4:30PM, I went back to work to meet the driver, he phoned at 4:40PM and said he will not be coming the next day - GFS Express). Saturday GFS contacted about another order and for this I pushed it into this week, whenever)

For the 5K orders I hope it comes much more secure than in a beat up vehicle - and before we close for the year.

Temu has been pumping the ClaimCredit offers, I got a spend R2650 get R2400 credit back last night, fortunately I had R1700 claimed credit to put towards it.
I can see their modus operandi, they ratchet up the offers to walk you into massive purchases and then make the last 3 days of claiming huge amounts so if you miss them you have to pay near full price on the order.

One thing to be aware of that I wasn't is that the first day of claim credit is on the day of the order, I ordered late last night at 11pm and only checked my Claim Credit page this morning and then realised I’d lost the first day but fortunately it was only R43 of the R2400 to claim.

Does Temu order shipping normally slow down to a snails pace over the December/Xmas rush?
I remember back in the eBay days anything ordered from China from the beginning of December would only arrive sometime in January.

I was hoping that my initial order would have had R1649 claimed to apply for the next order but then two days later they gave me up to R2400 credit back for a next order. Having waited many weeks and being mostly around only R800 back on most, I grabbed the opportunity. So this time I did not have much more that R200 to apply into the 2nd order, and quite a bit the money went out of my credit card. Will have quite a bit of credit too, wish I could turn it into cash.

I've been burnt in the past not taking advantage of Temus insane offers, you'll think they'll offer it again and then it's just lame offers for weeks if not months.
I’ll have over 3k in credit once my latest order is all claimed. To cash out I’m going to order some higher value items to sell at cost once they arrive here, Godox camera gear is a good one.

When does the claim period start? right after the order?
If you miss a day, are you done or can you claim again on subsequent days?

Yes right after the order you can claim the first day.
It appears if you miss a day you just miss out in the credit you could have claimed, other than that it just carries on until all the days are finished.

Order #3 (R2542) was also mostly paid with credits,R164 top up and I received another round of R2114 credits. My camping gear is expanding

I was 'forced' into buying some stuff off of temu because my local supplier ran out.

Temu is 40% more expensive and I can't figure out why, the product is made in China and it's the exact same item.

Not even Alibaba is cheaper.

Probably bulk discount form the manufacturer.

I don't know the whys of claim credit, how is it sustainable in the level that people seem to participate? Is the endgame only to grow market share, they must be burning cash... even if the products coming direct from the factories are selling at a good chunk of markup...some end up using the credit for the next orders and claiming it back completely.

I am in a difficult position, my last two orders remain in the picking stage. One order is over a week old and I have already claimed the credit back, but R2200 in the order was from my credit card. The next order also a similar amount went out of the credit card and it is the 5th day without shipment.

I think GFS express uses a rideshare driver that only delivers when he has a route in my area. He wanted to deliver on Saturday but no-one was at the office, and the package remains undelivered with 2 full working days since.

Go onto Temu, look at your order and there should be a "speed up" button. Hit that and they rev the delivery guys it seems - worked for me, and haven't been given the shitty courier again on other orders.
