Your temu orders

Slow, small sized device is modified on Firmware level to report larger space. Speed is also not what is on label.
e.g.
You will get 8GB drive advertised as 512GB.
Problem thought is that windows see it as 512GB and when you write it to you don't realize you are losing data which makes it worse as it won't tell you it is full, just overwrite data. So as backup device you basically lose your backups and only realize it when you want to get it back.

I looked at so my reviews on these cheap cards and saw they have high ratings like 4.7 but there are always 1 star ratings reporting them as fake. However somehow Temu still allow them to remain to be bought.
Thanks. That's helpful to know

After a long hiatus they offered my credit back this morning. Have to spend about R1500 to get around R700 back means paying R800 in. Sadly many of the items in the shopping bag are at an inflated price compared to my regular cart. There are some items that I can still add that may make it worth it, but those are not items I need and I don't feel it is worthwhile

Will have to be judicious to pick out items and make it a good deal. GFS is too slow, was hoping that my last order would have been dropped off by Wednesday so I can evaluate the takkies I bought, and stock up more. Since Shoe city closed down my preferred style has not been found anywhere, not even on the online stores with the higher branded (VANS, Soviets) equivalents.

my temu prices of items I have on my watchlist have basically doubled in the last few months

the good thing about the 'all in' price, is obviously that all the taxes also get refunded when a refund is due (I assume)

Yes, and overall you are saving more in the promos where you need to spend a certain amount to get X off or X back in credit.

Are these promo's not all BS? I have an itch for an order of 2k-ish. How do I make the most of it?

I rate the best promo is the "credit" promo. You buy one item (I bought a pair of scissors for R27.-) and get a whole bunch of coupons in return.

I just buy R350.- worth of stuff at a time which gives you R150.- off while hitting the R200.- minimum shipping requirement.

That's like a 42% discount.

Great stuff.

My previous order was to fix things (watch, headphones, etc). This one is to maintain things, I guess.

Yes. Temu have changed this recently to include customs and shipping in the retail price.
Does anyone know when exactly this change took place?
My daughter placed an order 3 x weeks ago.
She followed up with Temu and they said to follow up with the Courier (Fastway).
She sent them a whatsapp (connected via their webiste), gave them the tracking number and it shows it's in their depot.
But the response from the whatsapp line and their info email is:

"...your parcel is currently being held by customs for routine clearance. To facilitate it's release, customs requires a copy of your ID for verification purposes. Once provided, we can proceed with final delivery to you."

Never heard of this before.
