Be careful of "lifetime subscriptions" Invariably, these are not worth the money paid for due to the fact that if the company is sold or goes bang, there is no recourse.

Quite a few websites claiming "Smart DNS Proxy" is a good DNS control option.

Just depends on your wanted level of security and other control options. A VPN is better if you want more. (They offer VPN services as well.)
