YouTube blocks Prophet Muhammad video from Egypt and Libya

Why did the people who made this video do it? Must they not be charged with inciting violence which killed their own people? Had these idiots not made the video, the americans would not have died.

The guy who made this video deliberately set out to make something that was insulting and inciting.
He has called Islam "a cancer".
He even misled the actors and crew who made the movie so that they did not know what he was doing.

He should be charged with culpable homicide over the deaths of these innocent people.
I am all for free speech, but this guy was going out of his way to insult and enflame.

He is no better than that other whackjob "pastor" in Florida who burned the Koran.

LOL... On a serious note though people need to stop bringing about unnecessary instigation in a world full of enough hatred where people are killed for nothing. People are always waiting for a reason to harm one another and that video gave a reason.

Free speech is worth dying for. Its more important than the sensibilities of some backwards religious folk stuck in the bronze age.

I'm sorry - I disagree. Since when is poking fun at something/someone justification for violence? Wouldn't stand up in court, shouldn't be tolerated in society.

Religion of peace gets my vote for blame on this one - but only because the violent mob probably misunderstood what they read or they had an incorrect translation.

The sad part is that it's not the video maker who died. Perhaps he should submit himself to the Libyan mob.

There wouldn't be a mob if there was no video with clear connotations of gross intolerance of other people’s religion.

I am not really big on religion, but I feel especially in this instance that the aim of the video maker was to incite violence. We knew it would happen and it happened.

I am of the opposite opinion. If religion can't behave itself, out with the religion. The days of the world dancing to the churches tune is long over.

Nope, they did not misunderstand. They fully knew what the insult was intended as.

I agree that people should be allowed to say what they want as "free speech"

But in this case it should have been the film maker who stood by his work instead of innocent third parties who were killed.

Instead the film maker has gone into hiding and now other innocent people are under threat. How is that fair?

You have the right to free speech, not to form a savage blood thirsty mob. Imagine if the Hindus killed westerners everytime a new McDonalds that sells beef opens.

As we have seen. Those backwards religious folk will use almost any reason, (be it a cartoon or a movie), to threaten, kill and murder people who dont agree with their view. While I think this video was silly and I cant be bothered to watch it, what these religious folk did was 10000x worse. They are trying to threaten and scare people into their reality. I wont accept that.

That's a great ideal... and wishful thinking. But meanwhile in reality and on the ground, innocent people are dying.
