After watching the Republican Debates last night on CNN I would like to heard the opinion of you guys on the candidates.

Here is my take----->

Rudy Giuliano: Avoiding the main topics and bringing up successes in New York makes me scared of him rather than supportive of him. He is the ideal leader of the Republicans but there is some aspect of him that just is less about the well being of people and more about being a politician.

Mike Huckabee: Waaaaaaaay too Religious... gone is the seperation of Church and State.

John McCain:I like the honesty, I like his firm positions on war and torture, don't really know if he knows what he is doing in any other regard though.

Ron Paul:I love his take on the war on Iraq and that fact that he thinks that US foreign policy is the real problem when it come to terrorism. (The occupation of Saudi Arabia and the dealings with Israel) I don't like the fact that he seems weak though, he looks to me like a push-over.

Mitt Romney:What an idiot, he looks and sounds the part but when you listen to what he is saying he sounds like an idiot. He has no firm position on anything and is in the game more for political power rather than fixing the real problems. I would hate for him to win. Slippery Slimey Scum comes to mind.

Fred Thompson:This guy looks like the evil general from all the movies I've seen. By default I don't trust him. He does seem strong though, and he doesn't really sound as much as an idiot.

The other guys I thought were out shadowed.

My over-all take on the selection is... I wouldn't vote for any of them!

:eek::eek:

:o

You do know McCain sopported the Iraq war and wants more troops in. Oh and who the hell is occupying Saudi Arabia?

I'd vote for the former Naval aviator / Vietnam POW.

Ron Paul is a bit(ok maybe more than a little) radical, but he is the only candidate I would vote for, I was behind Obama until recently but that dude is becoming more of a hypocrite these days.

If McCain were against the war and not for it he would easily get the nomination and be my second fave.

I'm going with Ron Paul for my vote unless the Dems find someone decent.

And the independent option is always strong on my voting record. I hope they bring someone decent onto the stage in '08.

That would be the U.S. Though they were actually invited. The only people who say the US is "occupying" is Bin Laden and co. The U.S. Was asked to come in to repel the Iraqis from Kuwait and, AFAIL, were never asked to leave. Part of the reason Bin Laden is so ticked off with the Saudis.

He will have to run as an independant cause he hasn't a snowball's chance in hell of winning the Rep nomination :o

Looking at the candidates again I suspect I would probably vote for Ron Paul, as cheesy as it sounds... but not because he is against war, but because he is against Global Government.

Where have I heard that before :confused:

Oh yes as a justification to give the biggest weapon of mass destructon to one of the biggest mass murderers of all time. No surprise then that'll you'll vote for Ron Paul. Mass murdering despot dictators are huge fans of both of you :sick:

True but they're hardly occupying :rolleyes:

Not sure what you mean, bru. Agree or disagree? !Confusion!

I've watched 4 debates, two republican, two democrat

And here's my take...

For me, there's 1 candidate from each side that stands out.... they talk the most sense, they answer questions directly, they love the constitution, and they want what's best for america.

Democratic side is Dennis Kucinich
Republican side is Ron Paul...

Interestingly enough, is that Dennis said he would choose Paul as his deputy/running mate.

I really don't know what the problem is with ron paul, as expressed in this thread ???????

One criticism is that he might a little bit of a light weight...

If i had to vote between the two of them, it would be a tough call...

I am sooo with you on this one. Slime slime slime. Keeps on changing his view points to suit his audience. Schmuck.

Romney..... :sick:
Not sure who is the bigger idiot, him or guiliani on the Rep side...

The interviewer either knows something or he's just playing mean....

That link was as useless as a shoehorn. I find that Ron Paul after a lot more observation has the best policies and the right mind set on the problems facing the US. He also made a very intelligent move as to stand for president on the Republican side because I think he might just win over the hearts of the hard core right wingers with left wing thinking. Ron Paul is being bullied by the idiots at Fox though, It saddens me when I watch a Youtube vid with him on Fox.... they tear him apart... and mostly without any real reasoning just brute orc-like techniques. "Are you saying we should not defend the United States... The Land of the Free...? You Ron Paul are suggesting we surrender to the terrorists!" - some Fox idiot.
