Youtube downloads on Mac

With the MacX youtube downloader it was easy to download videos, but not anymore,now I am only able to download say 80% and then it just freezes. It happened after the latest update. How can I download my favourite Youtube videos on my Mac? TIA

Search for YouTube on MacUpdate and take it from there - try each one. I have previously used Elmedia but their licensing and activation sucks balls.

In your browser's address bar, just change www.youtube.com/blablabla to www.youtubeinmp4.com/blablabla

or if you only want to extract the audio, www.youtubeinmp3.com/blablabla
