Youtube HD download options missing from Firefox Extensions??

In both my youtube downloader firefox extensions the HD options are missing, and those that are showing don't have sound. All the videos I've tried do all have HD quality. Have Youtube made changes to their policies with regards to what 3rd party apps can access?

Anyone else noticed the same thing / using something that still works?

Its a problem with Firefox and some HTML5 BS.
I have been battling with this most of this past weekend, when my own videos would be forced to 360p.

I installed a browser plug-in to work around the issue. When I am home again I will post which one it was.
 
Thanks, will appreciate that. I prefer downloading HD youtube content at work to watch at home (capped 3G).
 
Maybe turn off mse?

I read somewhere recently that it's a Google issue. Google is leaning on Firefox to block youtube downloaders.
 
It's against YouTube's ToS IIRC. That's why you won't find an extension on the Chrome store that has this feature (speaking for Chrome, obviously).

Happened to me and I used the same trick, also I didn't have the speed option which media source trick solved. Off topic, try the new Youtube player on FF, looks very good.
 
Oddly I now seem to have access to 720 MP4 formats today which I couldn't get earlier this week. That's with both Extensions.
