What kind of performance should you reasonably be able to expect on an HD YouTube movie downloading through a 2mbps ADSL line running an MWEB uncapped account?

I have no specific basis of comparison, but I am getting a general sense that this is slower than it used to be. I am not used to even short movies buffering constantly and I don't think it's a line issue, since I can still connect to a news server at 208k/s, which is pretty close to the line speed maximum.

Has anyone else noticed a degradation of download speeds from YouTube?

I am on 4meg uncapped using an 8meg line. I not noticed anything out of the ordinary. I stream Youtube (wait for buffer) and download. If I close the downloads, then even HD plays without buffer granted you pause for 10seconds.

Somtimes specific videos are slow on youtube, but that might not be mwebs fault.
