Is it worth it to convert ones USA itunes account to a ZA one, if i look at the pricing and taking the exchange rate into account and the premium we pay for the voucher. A game thats R39.99 in the ZA store works out to about R65 in the USA store. Is it worth it?. Also the only problem i see is trying to get a zero balance on your USA account, as you need a zero balance to change stores. Unless one can gift the few cents thats left in the account to someone?

I noticed over the weekend you can get iTunes vouchers in PnP now, I have a ZA and a US account but I don't use them much for apps, more for multimedia content

You can convert it to an SA account by changing your region. You just need your USA balance to be zero in order to change. I am asking if anyone has done so. Or if anyone with an SA account can tell me if all the games and apps are there?

If I were you I would leave things as they are. If the apps that you own are also on the SA App store then go for it.

The only real difference nowadays between the two stores is apps that are region locked. So Netflix might not be available in the ZA store due to Netflix (the service) not being available in South Africa.
Also, any apps and media that you bought on the US store that isn't available in the ZA store will be lost permanently.

I've got both, ZA & US accounts, I'm keeping the US account until we get everything the US gets, on launch day! :D

I find that using the US store is much better.. content is alot quicker and if you think about it if you buy a voucher it works out cheaper. .. I've been using http://www.e-vouchers.co.za to buy my vouchers and they the cheapest ive see around so far.. check them out

How is it cheaper? The USD is shocking at the moment and music by default is far cheaper on the local store.

Do you work for this company E-vouchers that nobody has ever heard of?

Four posts all with the same link... Guess that answers it.

I've changed to the SA store but I had to open a support chat session on apple's site to zero out the last cents. I recommend you just keep two accounts. I've got three myself, all for email addresses I don't have anymore because you can't change your email address

You can change you email address. I did it a while back when I swapped my SA email address Apple ID with the US one. I just used a 3rd address as a middleman to get it done.
