Good day

I am unsure if u guys are aware but registrations for the MSSA league hosted by AGASA have started,
the original post was done here -> http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=110436&highlight=mssa
Please register on www.agasa.co.za and the CGBOC site - www.mssa-cgboc.org if u want to participate.
Registrations opened on the 12th of May and continue till the 8th of June (whew after pay day) :D

In order for this to happen in Guild-Wars we need 8 teams to enter...

Should u guys be interested please drop me a mail so i can make sure we r all on the same page....:)

The rules have been finalized, they cater for team-play and individual play:
Teams of 4 human players and a reserve(this is to ensure we have sufficient teams participating) will be participating against one another in the standard GvG format, as a skirmish.
The 1v1 side of the comp...will consist of 1 human (I hope, no cyborgs or Klingon's:rolleyes:) and 3 heroes/henchmen, also in the standard GvG format

Please if u have any other queries I will answer as best as I can.

Regards

It has come to my attention that there is quite a bit of confusion around how the Guild Wars league will work... well in general all computer games leagues.

Okay, so here is, a quick breakdown of the rumored rules for the Guild Wars league, I’m sure it will be more comprehensive when the official set is published.

All players will need to be registered with BOTH MSSA and AGASA to compete in the league.
MSSA registration form is available on www.mssa-cgboc.org - the annual registration fee is R58.00
A entry fee of R42.00 will need to be paid for each game u enter for the league (be that 1v1, 4v4 or both)
AGASA registration is online on www.agasa.co.za., (players feeling uncomfortable with entering ID numbers on the AGASA site may enter either a random number or a series of 13 1's or 0's.)

The league will have two formats, a 1 vs 1 and 4 vs 4.

Both formats will require persons to have access to their own Guild Wars account to play.
Each League Leg is set to be played over 5 weeks with each team being required to play a match a week.
There are a total of 3 League legs, of which Guild-Wars will be played in Leg 2 and Leg 3.
A match it seems will consist of 3 games, with the match winner having been victorious in 2 or more of these games.

Team captains will be responsible for their team’s admin:

* Arranging a time for their games during each week, with their opposing captain.
* Arranging that their team is in attendance at the pre-arranged time.
* Submitting results of their matches to the AGASA admins, with a screenshots to verify results.
* Submitting any objections and appeals before the next rounds draw is published.

The 4vs4 format should require 4 human players in order to play, this I think is being done to accommodate the minimum number of teams required for the 4v4 to take place, which are 8.

The 1vs1 format should require 1 human to play, the player will then have an additional 3 non player characters, and these may be any of the Guild Wars heroes or henchmen.

All games should be played as a standard scrimmage match (similar to GvG), with the hosting team required to invite their opponents into their guildhall.

more details and quieries can be sent over to Zander Greyscale (hey thats my IGN)
or [email protected] OR just posted here.

The league is only open to persons registered with Mind Sport South Africa or the IWF (International Wargames Federation).
Obviously entry fees need to be paid for the League, so if u can transfer the relevant funds (ZAR 42.00) to MSSA im sure they would welcome your entry.
For further information u are welcome to contact myself at the address above.

PvP players

I have a similar situation in my Guild and alliance.
Only about 10 people seem actually interested in entering.
Being competitive is after all not every 1's cup of tea, but its all in good fun :D

It will be awesome to see some people sporting colours for guildwars .... as im sure a lot of u know, these damn games get extremely addictive, and its gona be great to see a payoff in the real world.
