ZA store updated.

ZAstore charges approx R4000 for the new 80GB Ipod, Apple charges $350 (*7.5) ZAstore is ripping us off BIG TIME!.
B@stards!!
That's a r1500 markup.

And Apple sells the new 80 GB for less than the previous 60 GB model.
I say again ZAstore are f#ckin ripping us off.

They are a handbrake to my mission of acquiring a MacBook
I think I will check the apple centre in Sandton Square

The British get torn a new one too.

If you do a conversion on xe.com, the price of their 80GB is about R3588 (right now).

That model in the US costs R2570 :(

It's been like that for a while. Good thing if you in UK you can get a cheap flight to NY, buy it there with your UK credit card and save a fortune. We do it regularly. Buy a few machines and you could probably pay for your airfare! :D

Well I'm moving to the UK soon so maybe I'll follow your advice! :)

Is it just me or has that shop gone to the dogs?
Looks like a warehouse inside, and they've basically got no stock. At this rate they may as well close down and sell online.

It realy pisses me off when retailers are half-arsed about carrying decent stock levels.

What we usually do is order it before hand from Amazon and have it delivered to where we're staying. That way you can often avoid sales tax. In NY that's an extra 8%+ you're saving. :D

Very nice!

Completely off-topic, but when you say cheap flights from London to NY... how much are we talking?

I know Virgin is offering specials for under £270 roundtrip and there are probably other last minute deals available at any given time.
