Hi all,

Anyone on here that owns/has experienced with a ZALMAN FG1000 Gaming Mouse?

I am planning to buy one here http://www.cyburbia.co.za/index.php...ategory_id=43&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=40 and was wondering before I fork out 600 bucks for a mouse whether it would help a noob playing COD4 online lol!

I have already bought the Merc Z-board gaming keyboard and it helps a lot, albeit only with finger movements, there is no cure for "noobness"!

Appreciate to hear from those that have used the ZALMAN mouse.

Rudi

I would rather suggest you get a razer or logitech or even Microsoft mouse. The zalman will take a while to get used to, and wont be suitable for other applications other than FPS games.

Logitech G3 is awful. Tracking was terrible on my one and my brother's. I replaced it with an MX518 (its old but its comfortable and doesnt pack up). The best mouse for FPS's is the Razer Deathadder (very very good tracking) or if you have R1000 then the SteelSeries Mouse is amazing (some people say the clicking is a bit clumsy but I think its fine). Overall I would go for the Death Adder, saw the DA Guild Wars edition for R549 at my local PC shop. For some reason its cheaper if it says Guild Wars :D. Just don't get the G3 its really uncomfortable and performs badly.

Ah yes the G3 is bad, sorry didnt mean to say that. I was refering to the G1 (its the mx300 on steroids). But u cant get a G1 anymore. You cant justify the deathadder for being the best FPS mouse, tracking is not everything, its about the feel of the mouse and how the movement feels to you. Ive tried MX300, MX500, Razer Deathadder, Razer diamondback, G1, G3, G5, MX518, microsofts gaming mouse (whatever its called) and these were all used purely for gaming purposes (CS) competing in tournaments etc. and i found for me personally the G1 & MX518 were the best.

wow a FPS gun, never tried one, but I am not sure that will help you improve. I stand to be corrected. I use the G5 and it is a great mouse. It certainly helped my COD4 game.

I recommend the MX518 - one of the best mice ive ever used. No need to get a mouse with a million dpi, it aint gonna help ****. Razor mice i find very hard to control, the difference in sensitivity between logitech and razor is quite far apart imo.

I had an MX300 Logitech for about 8 years, USB, that thing was a trooper, eventually gave up the game. MX518 is awesome!!!!
