So growing up my grandfather had a camera he loved and I wasn't really allowed to touch it. He passed away in 1998 and for some reason, no one knew where this camera was and it was pretty much forgotten. This weekend though, a family found it and gave it to me :)

It was a Zeiss Contaflex Alpha and great condition for the age. I've got two extra lenses it came with - but seems they've no lens caps for like 40 years (at least it looks like it) - but I don't think they're really usable.

Also got a Canon cine camera - with film inside!

What's the easiest way to check if anything is on the cine film?
Light sensitive like camera film, so I've ruined a little by opening?
It deteriotes I guess?

Why don't you think the lenses are usable?

If you are wondering what the Zeis camera is worth take it to Kameraz in Rosebank (JHB) they'll probably know. You might be surprised - that was a really good camera in its day and probably still takes superb quality images.

What film does it take? Normal 35mm?

The cine film is ruined if you exposed it to light so you may as well throw it away IMO.
