I am deeply disturbed by a hate group which I saw on facebook today, there's even an article about it

If you are on facebook, type in "HELEN ZILLE - IS STILL A VENOMOUS WHITE RACIST ADULTERER" and search for the group, read some of the comments at the bottom and you will see why i am :(.

Have we all as South Africans lost our minds? I saw hateful remarks by black people towards white people and visa versa.

When racists show their racist colours, try not to group everyone in there with them, otherwise you're right there with them.

These people could have motives that you will not grasp right now, but, once you're swimming in their squalor, they'll turn around and it will be your fault.
 
I went and reported it. No use complaining about it if you have not bothered to use the right channels to get it removed (I mean the news24 article).
 
Good job, but I'm sure Helen isn't loosing sleep over facebook. I can think of worse things than that, like maybe being 5 minutes late for work?
 
Yup, reported it a few days back.

Edit: Simply the ANCYL flying its true sexist colours once again.

Nope, I'm not planning to. People can say whatever they want to say and it's up to an individual to either join them or not. I'm disturbed because I didn't realise how hateful we are of each other as south africans, hopefully this hate will blow over during the next few years.
 
Meh - freedom of speech. She is a public figure and if anyone bothered to do a little research, she would come out of this dungheap called "teh interwebz" smelling like roses... No PR is bad PR imho...
 
What's the point in reporting it? The mindset is still there. At least now a few "white" folks can leave some comments to balance the views. Too bad most of the comments are seriously based on the blacks vs. white mindset... Maaaan, this country pisses me off. And those pro "AWB" a-holes leaving their filth just makes life harder for the rest of us.

then how long does it take for them to act..but if it were a pic of a breast-feeding mother it would have been brought down crashing...:rolleyes:
 
I can't believe this!!! This is such a pathetic sorry from IOL and they even put it as their lead story!!! Isn't there any better news than some Facebook page?!

What exactly are they trying to say? If they really wanted to, there are so many other pages they could have talked about; there's other anti-DA pages, anti-ANC pages, there's even one called "LETS ASSASSINATE HELEN ZILLE - SHE WANTS TO BRING APARTHEID BACK!" (although with only 28 members)... But why focus on any of it really and as the top story!!! They couldn't even take the time to verify if the administrators where really who they said they were... did say that they even attempted to contact them for comment.

I can understand racism with freedom of speech - but not murderous intent. If there was a group called "Let's kill Zuma" it would also be first in my line of fire for idiots who should be castrated thread of the day. Plonkers.
