A row has broken out in the city council about Cape Town Mayor Helen Zille's failure to consult the full council before announcing that the city will erect a memorial outside the Rocklands Centre in Mitchells Plain to commemorate the founding of the United Democratic Front (UDF) 25 years ago.

This is a problem for the ANC, the same party that has gone on a road renaming spree without concern for cost or whether they would cause offence.

In fact, these b******s have told her that renaming streets rather than building statues is how they prefer it.

There power has gone to their head! This is a democracy and constituents and there elected representatives govern how their city works. You don't run Cape Town now f**c off.:mad::mad:

The sooner the ANC starts to disintergrate the better...

They're arguably doing more damage to this country at the moment than the Nats did (and yes I know thats a very very touchy subject)

Well they learnt from the best, but that's no excuse.

Either or suits me really... but disintegration might be better since then they'll fight with each other in parliament and actually maybe eventually get things done properly..

So let's put this country back on the road to recovery----Bring back apartheid. Sure as hell was a lot better for everyone (other than the fat cats in the current parliament) and we can again lead safer, more sane, and civilized lives.:)

No, not apartheid.

Just some proper opposition to the ANC...so that there is balance. atm the ANC can and does push any legislation through. Thats BS.

In a real democracy there would be an almost equally strong opposition to the ruling party. We are becoming more autocratic than democratic by the day, as a result.

I just prefer the BS that comes from people who can think, reason and get things done.;)

I don't care if you get a blowjob whilst in office, just make sure the country runs okay!:D

....And you can walk the streets at night, and reject the unwanted blowjob or bumrush or rape, or mugging or hijacking, or muti murder or theft or goat slaughter on the pavement or defecation in the street or vandalism etc, etc, etc.
