Zip files in Os X

anybody who can help?

I've got a zip file that was e-mailed to me but I cant seem to unzip it, (no the first time this has happened to me)

any ideas?

Have you tried . .
http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/apps/unarchiver.html or,

Terminal - open window type unzip and drag the saved zip file into the terminal, hit enter. The file will unzip into your home directory.

Ok, thanks, terminal tells me the file is corrupted.

I also had a corrupted file a while ago ... after downloading numerous programs, trying to unzip it, shoving it over to my WinXP VM, hours lost, I came to accept that the last 8 years of my life was down the drain .... however, by chance, I double-clicked it over the weekend, and voila, the standard Mac OS software for zip files extracted every single file ... so my money is on that
