It's got a lot more depth than cookie clicker once you get to the higher levels and unlocks.

Managed to clear the Halloween event, will craft the item after my current shard finishes. Mine scaled to level 1046.

Yeah, it's based on your highest level reached. I was slacking for a while.

To make it easier though you can bug Carl. Level him to 9 and then just farm for a day or so. Switch to max buy and then level Carl again. You can then go over level 10 cap. I jumped from 9 to 14 in about 8 hours.
