The zombie plague was a nightmare yesterday.

At Theramore, we would just clean out the zombies, and then suddenly, you would have several zombies trying to rip you to pieces.

And I'm only lvl40. The guard zombies at Theramore is ?? for me. I think my hit rating on them is less than 10 percent. And they chase you forever.

And then you get some dumbasses that go and infect the AH's. I want to be able to do some quests, not run away from zombies the whole time.

I wonder how bad it is in the high population servers. I'm on Blade's Edge and it's only medium. And (thankfully!), it's a new server, so there not as many lvl70's.

I did have a (small) bit of fun with it though. Went prowling through Crossroads in Barrens (I'm alliance). After a while, I got infected and zombiefied (while helping an undead mage, how ironic). For revenge, I went back into crossroads and spread the plague as much as possible.

Yes interesting experience this Zombie thing!

Was fun for a while on the weekend, but I must say by late last night you couldn't come through the portals any more without dying in about 5 sec's the conversion to Zombie rate was about 10 sec's and I couldn't even dispel myself on my priest fast enough..

Most ppl had retired to there flying mounts above shat, if they bring in flying plague we might all be kicked out till 14 November!

Not sure if Blizz expected it to be quite such a epedemic give there are still 3 weeks to go and there was a huge amount of complaining, it had become almost impossible to vist the AH or banks.

Sure makes it interesting if not a bit frustrating.

Also managed to get some pretty good gear for my 5 day old 70 priest, talk about going from T0 to T5 eqivalent in 12 hours, the epic hand out feast has reached a new high, or low depending on your point of view.
 
The idea of it is awesome, the execution is a bit of a fail. Its terrible for lowbies trying to level up and is especially killing it for guys wanting to hit 70 before WotLK.

The only few things which bother me about it is the guards/npc level doesnt scale which makes you a 1 shot target for them, and level 70's purposefully coming to Crossroads or other lower level towns to gank people (of thier own faction... wtf?). I dont mind waiting for a npc to respawn or running from zombie infestations, but its gone way too far. When I log main and fight back I get whispered abusive comments telling me to stop being annoying o_O... the irony.

However I do like the Scourge attacks on various zones of azeroth (the skulls on the map). It really promotes some huge world pvp, something lacking too much nowdays.
 
lol, Shattrath was overrun by zombies last night. Had to stay mounted and in the air just to chat with people -.-

Makes the game fun though...I like the way it brings in WotLK through storyline.
 
Can someone explain this Zombie thing to me please? I decided to log onto my account quickly the other day and get completly swamped by about 20 Zombies.

Stormwind looked like something out of a horror movie with bones everywhere. I have not been playing much since the patch as it has been crazy at work and also the server always seems to be full.

What I do found amusing with the zombies is the complaints ;) Typical the first time someone is zombified he thinks cool, who can I go and infect. You see these people running around in the cities infecting guards and just whoever they can find. An hour later these same guys want to buy things from the vendors just to find them dead, killed by some other zombie noobs, and then start the complaining.

The invasions before the opening of Nax were much more fun, and grief play were not an issue (part from kill stealing). This Zombie attack is almost aimed at promiting grief play :(
 
There is a link on the launcher that directs you to a site that explains it fully. Or go to the WoW main page. It should be there as well.

Short explanation: There is a plague that is spread by zombies or infected crates. When infected, you have a time limit before you change to a zombie. You can get healed by a cure disease spell (although it seems to take several casts to cure). Once you are a zombie, you have to die to change back.
 
There was a similar invasion pre TBC, its part of the storyline getting you ready for WOTLK, and its only gonna get worse. At least its keeping us busy with the new boss in kara and all. I am just doing battlegrounds to build up my hp.
 
Any kind of artificial event that involuntarily effects a players playtime and prevents the use of Npcs is just badly thought out.Its a royal Pain in the ass when All someone wants to do is Pvp in Bg's or use the Npc's quick.
A stroke of idiocy on Blizzards Part.
 
Zombies rule. This tops of one of the best moments in WoW. We took over Red Ridge, BB, Rachet, X-roads, but got annihilated at TB. Best of all is when you convert a hordie, you can speak to them and sometimes they join-in killing their own.

Those complaining that they can't quest, must get a life. This is a one-time event that will go down in history. Just move to another area.
 
I don't mind being turned into a zombie so much, thats fun! But effecting the npc's is such a ball ache!
 
Its easy when you're infected.

Run the the graveyard, press 5 and wait to go terrorist!

Release and res on the spot ^^
 
Hehe, I think the plague is awesome.
I haven't been taking an active part in the last day or so (been chasing Necropolii instead) but guild chat has been full of wildly differing opinions.
Some like it and join in, others don't.
From what I hear Zombies trashed Stormwind something good last night which I thought was frikkin funny.
We actually had the Outland server crash coz Shatt got molested so hard.
 
Yes am on Ally and on our sever last night midnightish you couldn't get into IF or SW, most ppl had retired to Exodar or the air above Shat. Even Darn was taking a pounding!
 
i enjoyed infecting the Aldor bankers and NPC's in Shattrath this weekend, however, something has to be done about paladins cleansing me. wtf ! i want to be a zombie. They never bothered to cleanse any strangers before !

maybe thas cuz they WANT aldor bankers, and maybe thas cuz they DONT WANT to be zombies, and maybe thas cuz they WANT to do the quests?
