My ZoneAlarm Firewall is counting and counting blocked intrusion attempts on both networked pc's it's @ 1200 already?

It has to be something with telscum, so what can I do to stop it?

Although you should be a worried that there are so many intrusion attempts, you should be glad at the same time that ZA is working

I only have 91 (1 PC)...so is it possibly a program on your PC, communicating to an outside server which is sending these requests?

Disconnect, reconnect with a new ip and see if it still occurs in such volume.

I turned off the router for 5 minutes and turned it back on: total intrusion attempts: 1800. The other pc's ZoneAlarm reset itself somehow, it was close to 900, did some little piece of you know what try and hack me?

Whatever noise is on the outside knocking at the door your router/firewall is keeping it out..

I've got my telscum router's hardware firewall on max protection, and I use ZoneAlarm Security suite, but I don't like what this Mr. Jones tried to pull today, imagine if I had a static ip? AAARRRRGGGGHHH

Hey tera, I had the same thing (around 2000) when I used ZA. It doesant seem to mean much, I now use no firewall, and its fine.

They are probably just programs hat you have blocked trying to connect again and again.

But anyway, they are probably not nearly all malicous.

It wasn't an outbound connection though, I turned off the pc and saw my NIC flashing and flashing, it was definitely an inbound connection, very strange.....

Now, how would they find my ip by something I said? if they did I'm gonna murder Mr. Jones
