Zotac MAG Mini-PC

Here are some reviews of the Zotac Mini PC on Amazon. Seems like it can handle 1080P no problem.

Same @ Newegg,

(Search for 1080P, you will see!)

Lot's of conflicting reviews with this. Some people say they don't have problems, others do. For that kind of money I'd rather go for something I'm positive will work.

I think it might boil down to software though.... on my current PC... if I use media player classic, 1080p plays fine but the audio is out of sync. In Media Center the pictures stutters, and in VMP, the video is corrupt.

Yup, also found this:

and to make sure that the software is utilizing the GPU, because otherwise the Intel chip is pretty underpowered, but it works well for 1080p within XBMC when I have the GPU (VDPAU) activated.

So at least with using XBMC you should be fine. :)

good point, but i think it will be cheaper (or smiler price) to get a new zotec then to start upgrading (new MB/Cpu/ maybe PCIE graphics card..)

You can fit a gfx card in that little box??

if u get a good codec pack mc should be able to handle everything from 720p to 1080p with no problem. alternatively get power dvd 10.

The nVidia ION does play back HD video smoothly, I've tested it on an HP 311, you just need to use the right player so that it utilizes video acceleration with the 9400M graphics. Media player classic did the job.
