ZTE AC2787 with Netgear

Hi,

Question from the FIL, he used a previous version (the white one) of the neotel stick with his Netgear router without problems to get internet at his house. Stick has since died and he was given a ZTE AC2787 as replacement. For the life of me though I can't get this thing to work with the Netgear router he was previously using to share the connection in his house.

Anyone know if this device is compatable with Netgear or any other router for that matter? Netgear does not list it as one of their supported devices.

I could be on the wrong track here, but afaik, if you are not using a RUIM (SIM card), then Neotel need to update the details of the new device (probably MAC ID, etc), before it will work again. If this was not done, you need to phone the help desk and get the new device "registered" on the CDMA network. If the Netgear does not see the new dongle, then it looks like the driver for the dongle is missing. Check if Netgear have newer firmware that includes this.
