Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma was a brainless bonus voters gave to the story of exile and Robben Island, but that time is over now, EFF leader Julius Malema said on Sunday.

According to the EFF's Twitter feed, Malema was speaking at North West University's (NWU) Mafikeng campus ahead of student representative council elections at the university where he made the remarks.

Malema: when generations after us come, they will say at least we took an initiative. You have responsibility to elect fearless people

The elections are expected to take place on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, EFF and Sasco members threw stones at one another when Malema addressed his party’s supporters at the Tshwane University of Technology's (TUT) Pretoria West campus.

Police and security at the institution's Pretoria West campus intervened and restored order.

Later that same day, stun grenades were used to disperse a crowd of Pan Africanist Student Movement of Azania (Pasma) members at the TUT's Soshanguve campus shortly after Malema arrived to hear their grievances.

Also, maybe giving your democracy to someone like Zuma as a bonus to wipe his butt with has something to do with it?

Stop behaving like friking morans! Use your heads instead, then maybe you will stop complaing about whites having more and blacks having nothing.

This is the problem of the people of south Africa, The propaganda spreading from the adults to the young, They teaching Racism and encouraging acts of violence by throwing stones... REALLY???

Bonus is the wrong word here, it implies that Zuma is a good thing.

The unfortunate misconception is that black people feel they can improve their status by blaming everyone for this but themselves. The lack of taking responsibility is what keeps then behind the rest of the world. If they assimilated the values of self responsibility and earning your lot in life, they would catch up very quickly.

And liberals keep pushing this cynical idea that they are hapless victims onto blacks and enabling and perpetuating the status quo. It seems obvious to me that liberals see blacks as infant like and incapable. If I was part of a group who was told I needed special rights and handicaps to compete I would take that for the insult that it was. Liberals are the true racists.

Verkrampte conservative ? Son, I have shagged, drank and snorted my way through places and times that would make you seem like the nun the other nuns consider prudish and uptight. For the great part of my life I didn't hold myself up to anything or anyone but myself. I am a freedom loving man and I can't fit into your silly labels.

I absolutely know I can justify that claim. Any liberal who can't hold a group to the same standards they would hold to another is doing "equality" nothing more than lip service.

You're the one stuck in an outdated discourse. The goalposts have been moved. The game has changed course. I know you can't see that now. Things are chaging a little too fast for most people to keep up. Nothing you have to offer though is relevant anymore. Or new. It the same tired debate carrying on in centre field, while the movers and shakers flank around the sides while you focus on the decoy runner.

There are factors at play that have moved some of us towards what you might confuse with conservative attitudes. We are reacting to something not because we hsve lost sight of the plot. But because we have seen patterns in its trajectory. Your attitudes are the ones that won't have any influence on the game. You are redundant. You are stale. You tread no new ground. You keep alive futile ideas. You are tomorrows conservative, and it is 5 minutes to midnight.
