If there is such a law, which I doubt, would it not apply to incidents that happen during his/her presidency, and not before it.

I was just asking, I thought that a sitting president in this country cannot be tried while in office.
Same as France.

We will have a sitting President in court!

I can imagine a phone call with some or other foreign head of state:

JZ: Sorry, I cant attend the summit, I'm in court that day.

Bill knows all about it. Maybe he should give JZ some advice

he will probably spend more time in court than in his office (when he takes up office that is).

lets not forget trips to the HIV clinic as well.

such a role model!!!!!

IIRC they are looking at passing a law like what France has/had, where a sitting president can't be tried ..... it was in the papers a few weeks ago.

this is Africa, the word accountability does not exist within the ranks of government officials.

There is no law stating that a sitting President cannot be tried.
