Zuma may be right

President Jacob Zuma may have a solid Constitutional case to challenge former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's instruction that he set up a judicial commission of enquiry into state capture.

Ironic. Someone who has repeatedly flouted the Constitution is now protected by it.

So sick of the **** that sucks this country dry. If it's not the twats running the show, then it's the audience burning the stage down in demand.

Courts being used to delay and further grow the amount of fruitless expenditure. :(

The courts have also been used to successfully keep the government in check too. You can't win everything.
I know. It is however silly that Government is challenging laws they created and using public funds to do it.

One of best things to have come out of the last few years is that many legal precedents have been set from all these legal challenges between the government and various groups. Many constitutional issues have been settled that will make it that much harder for anyone to pull these sorts of tricks again.

The problem with this argument is that the authority assigned to commission an inquiry is directly implicated. There is no way it can be seen to be impartial...

This really is the purview of the concourt but Zuma needs all the appeals so he starts at the high court

Let's be frank. Zuma isn't right.
Zuma's overpaid, overworked lawyers may be right.
Zuma probably understands one word in three in this article.

It's really sad that the title "<president> may be right" has become click bait.
