Zuma promises economic transformation

My real fear is that Zuma means what he says and has the backing to do it. It'll kill the country, just like Mugabe did to his twenty years after their transition to "democracy".
 
the ANC is too stupid to realise that economic transformation needs to start at the education level

You can imagine the people writing it are just sitting slamming their heads into their desks wondering what else they can do besides maybe just writing it out in full. "Eight thousand, two hundred". Although I imagine him reading that as "Eight thou....sand point two hun....dred"

I also don't see why this can only begin after elections, so it's blatantly obvious it's just the usual election promises.

This confirms what I have long suspected: that Jacob Zuma lacks the numeracy to make informed decisions about his own, and our country's, finances.

Zuma probably doesn't comprehend how much money "R 209 million" is when criticised about Nkandla. R 209 million, R 10 million, R 25 million - it's all the same to him: big numbers, but a drop in the ocean compared to the endless pool of money available in state coffers.
 
By the way, ANC: people are protesting, the streets are burning, not over too little affirmative action, but over poor service delivery (which more often than not is the result of placing loyal but incomptetent ANC cadres into positions of influence).

It is coming. The younger generation are far more radical than the older ANC guard. Just take a look at the ANCYL and its bastard offshoot, the EFF.

Change is coming and I fear it will do more damage than good.

Saying that after the election they are going to tackle poverty implies that he wasn't tackling poverty before.

So according to him, what have they been doing since the last election? An election in which they promised...surprise surprise...to tackle poverty.
 
Scary.. When I heard this I also saw the eff numbers and manifesto. So thinking it has to do with that. Still, I think the statement is stupid.. The problem in SA is pretty much the same as with the rest of the world, not who is in management but the division between lower, middle and upper class. Ironically it's under the present government that this ratio has gotten the worse that it's ever been and I seriously doubt he will change that as it affects them directly.. So the usual scape goat is used instead of addressing real issue.
