That's just a silly argument. No it wasn't, but they want to run the economy and should put their money were their mouths are.

OK so it is alright for the DA to shout about this in parliament, but where they could show great leadership by donating their increases into (let say a fund to help the missing middle in the varsities) it becomes a silly argument. I hope that this is not the DA style of politics because then they are hypocrites.
Surely there is a better come back than that!
Again, it's well documented which party screwed up the economy to the point where we have <1% growth. If you want someone to show leadership, relinquish salaries & show they're not hypocrites etc. the ANC is where you should direct your attention. Asking the DA to sacrifice when the screw-up wasn't theirs is as silly as blaming whites for black government failure, they simply were not responsible. Geddit?
The point is the DA wanted Zuma & Co to say sorry we screwed up and therefore we'll save you some money on already high salaries especially of the one guy that can rightfully he blamed for it all, but we all know the ANC won't ever admit their dunce is a colossal failure.I see your argument, if they and you constantly dwell on the past the DA are going to be no better than the ANC. So show voters that they are not just trying to grab the headlines but are forward looking and willing to have a short term sacrifice for the long term future. Africa and South Africa is the doldrums because they blame the past instead of looking to see how they can change the future without blaming the past.
Will this change? No it is too easy to blame the past instead of trying to change the future!
The real question is do we have the political leaders who are trying to change our futures for the better.

I'm actually quite in the present, but yeah whatever.OK this is going nowhere I am arguing to look to the future and you are looking to the past.
The focus needs to change about how can we positively influence our future.
Lol, never thought about it like that.Damn, this must be what black people felt like during apartheid when they desperately wanted regime change... Want to get rid of government, can't get rid of government
