CAPE TOWN - President Jacob Zuma has summoned cabinet ministers to a meeting.

The meeting comes a day before the ANC NEC meeting scheduled for Wednesday.

Slightly OT: The hell is the point of a deputy minister if they're not there to replace the head of department? I don't think I can recall a deputy taking over the top job in his/her respective department. Just the usual musical chairs.

Sadly this is not entirely impossible. On the upside he will likely discover the hard way that those Nkandla walls weren't worth the money after all as he slowly burns at the stake of a lynch mob.

Given how the ANC are unable to distinguish between party and state, I think that's a vain hope.

I like the one guy's theory in the comments, although it is out there and I doubt it can happen that way. He reckons JZ will fire Ramaphosa as deputy and give the job the NDZ. He resigns and NDZ then becomes president.

Not sure if that is even possible or who becomes president should he resign, but if it happens and she becomes president he can then plead guilty and get a presidential pardon.
