Zuma vows to fight corruption

Windhoek - ANC leader Jacob Zuma said on Tuesday that the African National Congress needed to do "something radical" to curb official corruption.

"We are very concerned about the level of corruption in government and we must do something radical about it," Zuma said at a meeting with the leadership of Namibia's ruling South West African Peoples Organisation (SWAPO).

Zuma, who himself has been dogged by corruption claims that have shaken South African politics, said the ANC needed to take a tough stance.

"Otherwise people get the perception that the ANC condones corruption," he said.

"If you don't deal with corruption, it is a problem," Zuma said.

He said that politicians should be removed from government's contract tender process.

"Politicians take decisions on billions of rands, and if they are separated from the tender process one can avoid politicians influencing others to make certain decisions."

I can't think of a comment that wouldn't get me slapped across the wrist.

Me neither. I propose that we sit on this thread until an ANC apologist analyses it for us, noting:

1. Zuma's dodgy track record. ("Innocent until proven guilty" doesn't mean we can't be highly suspicious of the man.)

2. Dissolution of the Scorpions - prime example of doing "something radical" to *increase* corruption.

3. Namibia - home of the uber-religious, gay-hating former liberator, three-term president and Mugabe-wannabe Sam Nujoma ... is it the best place to be friends with?

4. Misleading counter-revolutionary liberal media taking Zuma's words out of context. The headline says "Zuma vows to fight corruption", but all Zuma really says is "[the ANC] must do something radical about it."

Zuma vows to fight for corruption.

I'm sure it was just a simple typo on their part.

He always comes out puking this type of nonesense and blattant lies after his party takes action against those that dare try and prosectute anyone that has anything to do with the ANC.
Just as they did after travelgate and getting rid of the whistleblower, after the scorpions were sprayed with doom, now again after Pikoli is axed for doing his job.
Dont worry we do not tolerate corruption.

HAHA

The ANC are the criminals and should be seen as such by the people.

The ANC protect the corruption just like they protect the madman Mugabe who walks over the corpses of his own people to go and deposit his ill gotten gains. The ANC aspire to this.

Will of the people, HAHA.

I hate fearmongering but the best thing that Zuma can do is to STFU...he should not talk about corruption and how he intends fighting it because he just comes across as a paedophile appying for a job at a children's home.

Amazing how we never have these talks from the ANC in the years of 2000,2001,2002,2005,2006,2007...

Zuma wants to fight himself, what?

I'm telling you that his secret weapon in this is going to be a new type of shower head, a head that we have never seen before and the most amazing thing is it also prevents the spread of aids, whether it was consential sex, rape, fooling around, what ever you want to call it!!:D

I think I should lead you in showing support for him:

And that concludes my praise.

And what is being done about the unofficial corruption? I am assuming that unofficial corruption is the corruption that goes on until someone gets caught. And official corruption is what goes on while avoiding getting to court.
