Top Christmas gifts for 2014
Home entertainment products topped South Africa’s Christmas wishlist this year according to online retailer Takealot.
The e-commerce site said in a press release on Thursday, 4 December 2014, that its top 10 list also indicates that, as one would expect, kids are a priority.
According to Takealot, four of the ten gifts in its chart were intended as gifts for children.
Takealot’s Top 10 Christmas Gifts for 2014 are as follows:
- Google Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player
- World of WarCraft: Warlords of Draenor Pre-Order (PC)
- DStv Explora HD Decoder
- Sennheiser HD 429 West Headphones
- Lego Star Wars Darth Vader Watch with Minifigure
- The New Apple TV Full HD 2012
- SpaceRail Space Rail Level 4
- Construction Train Set Bridge
- Girls Kitchen Workbench
- Maleficent (DVD)
Takealot also revealed the top 5 product categories for Christmas gift shopping on its site.
It said that even though the most popular Christmas gift, the Chromecast Media Player, was found under the “TV, Audio and Video” category, it was the Computer category which dominated the Top 100 gift purchases overall.
