Xbox One S prices and launch window
Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox One S after details of the console leaked online.
The console will be priced from $299, and will be available from early August.
The Xbox One S will have a smaller and slimmer design, along with hardware capable of delivering 4K video support.
Existing Xbox One games will run on the Xbox One S.
While no spec sheet is available yet, Microsoft did reveal the following details:
- New, slimmer design.
- 40% smaller than the original Xbox One.
- 2TB hard drive.
- 4K Ultra HD video support.
- High Dynamic Range support.
- Streamlined controller.
- Vertical stand.
Eurogamer reported that the UK and EU prices for the Xbox One S have been released, in addition to the US prices. They are as follows:
- Xbox One S 2TB launch edition: $399 (£349/€399)
- Xbox One S 1TB: $349 (£299/€349)
- Xbox One S 500GB: $299 (£249/€299)
