Instagram has over 500 million users
Facebook-owned photo and video social network Instagram has announced it now has over 500 million monthly active users.
More than 100 million use the app every day, said Instagram.
According to the company, its user base has more than doubled over the past two years – adding the last 100 million active users faster than the previous 100 million.
Instagram has more than 100 million monthly actives in the US, with more than 80% of the Instagram community outside the US.
On average, more than 95 million photos and videos are shared per day – with users giving out 4.2 billion likes per day.
