PlayStation 4 Pro – prices and launch window for South Africa

Ster-Kinekor Entertainment CEO Mario dos Santos has revealed the local launch windows and pricing of the PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro, and PlayStation VR.

Speaking to MyGaming, Dos Santos said the PS4 Pro and Slim will be available in South Africa before the end of November 2016.

Sony has opted for a tiered international release for its virtual reality headset, the PlayStation VR, so it will only arrive here towards the end of January 2017.

Release date information and pricing is detailed below.

PlayStation 4 Pro

Launch window: End of November 2016.

Price: R6,500 – R7,000

PlayStation 4 Slim

Launch window: Mid-November 2016.

Price: R5,000 (500GB) – R6,000 (1TB)

PlayStation VR

Launch window: End of January 2017.

Price: R6,500 – R7,000
