SA's most popular Speedtest.net ISPs revealed
Many consumers are using Ookla’s Speedtest.net servers to test their broadband speeds and see how the various broadband providers compare on download, upload and latency.
The April 2011 Ookla Speedtest.net results not only provide users with information about average network speeds, but also shows how local service providers compare on the number of tests per network.
According to latest statistics, MWEB leads the number of Speedtest.net tests with 44,614 tests in April. They are followed by Internet Solutions with 41,408, and Cell C with 40,128.
The following table lists the Top 20 ISPs in South Africa according to the total number of Speedtest.net tests performed last month.
