MWEB ADSL outage

MWEB ADSL subscribers have reported problems with their connections on the morning of 21 October, stating they are receiving authentication errors.
The problem seems to be linked to an outage in MWEB’s data centre in Cape Town, which has also taken the service provider’s website and call centre offline.
“We are currently investigating an outage which is affecting some services hosted in our data centre in Cape Town,” MWEB said on Twitter and Facebook.
Engineers are on site, and updates will follow shortly, said MWEB.
“The outage has affected our telephony system, therefore you will not be able to reach our call centre at the moment. Please bear with us during this time.”
Update: MWEB said faulty hardware has been replaced and services should begin returning to normal by 09:00.
