Afrihost Mobile plans revealed
Afrihost has confirmed that it plans to launch ‘Afrihost Mobile’ within the next few months, promising to offer “competitive” pricing on mobile data packages.
Afrihost CEO Gian Visser said they are going to make their packages as simple, straight forward and as easy to understand as possible.
Visser also confirmed that they partnered with MTN for their mobile data products. “We are very excited to partner with what we believe is the best network,” said Visser.
MTN already provides Afrihost with ADSL bandwidth, and an extension of this partnership therefore makes business sense.
Using their own Access Point Name (APN) at MTN, Visser said that they will offer a variety of data packages starting at 250MB and upwards.
According to, Afrihost their mobile data products will be available on a month-to-month agreement; hence no contracts.
Visser would not disclose general pricing yet. However, he said that they “will be having an exclusive launch – available to Afrihost Clients only – which will not disappoint”.
Afrihost posted the following ‘Out of Contract’ mobile data comparison, aiming to create hype about what users can expect from them.
